TOP O' THE MORNIN'

Motorcycle Officers Who Assisted at Trump Rally and Sustained Injuries Were Not Authorized to Be There

The more the investigation unravels, the more interesting it gets. Now it's become a battle of they-said, they-said between the spokesperson for the Pittsburgh brass and the president of the Fraternal Order of Police union.

WATCH: Sarah Huckabee Sanders Takes Hilarious Swipe at Jill Biden, Blasts Biden-Harris on Women’s Rights

This was a powerful statement from Sanders. She made a compelling argument to vote for Trump, and any undecided voter should watch her speech.

Biden in Vegas Shouts at the NAACP, Battles the Teleprompter, and Praises the BLM Riots

Voters need to ask themselves whether they are willing to live through that again because Biden has zero intention of stopping any rioting if it occurs. Well, unless it's done by those on "the right." Then he'll pretend it's the worst attack on our nation since the Civil War.

WHAT'S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill...

Quiet still/again on the Hill on Wednesday as the RNC moves into Day 3. With Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) selected as former President Donald Trump's running mate, the question turns to who might replace him should he become the next vice president. Over at our sister site, PJ Media, Editor Paula Bolyard has the lowdown on who's most likely to get the nod.

Meanwhile, things have gotten tense between the House GOP and Department of Homeland Security as oversight efforts to determine what went wrong at Saturday's Butler, Pennsylvania, rally are seemingly being stonewalled.

White House What's Up

President Joe Biden is in Las Vegas Wednesday, where he's set to give an interview and speech, and participate in a campaign event before returning back to the East Coast late night.

Full Court Press...

We got the Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) verdict on Tuesday, so that one's a wrap. Additionally, the Georgia Court of Appeals formally set oral argument on the matter of Fulton County DA Fani Willis' disqualification for December, taking that criminal matter off Trump's hands until after the election.

Meanwhile, Biden's going to tilt at the Supreme Court in an effort to motivate Democratic voters.

MORNING MUSING

The past couple of weeks sure have seemed like a roller coaster ride. Heck, the past decade has. But there've been some added twists, loops, and sudden drops lately. I used to love roller coasters, though as I've gotten older, that's faded a bit. Too many years as a (civil) defense attorney assessing risks and an aging frame more susceptible to muscle and joint aches after being jostled about have diminished the appeal. The thing about adrenaline rushes is that they're typically followed by a letdown. (Necessary to recharge and regroup.) I keep wondering when/how we'll get to that point.
