Kamala Wants to Frame Campaign As Prosecutor Versus Felon: That’s Not Good … for Her

Even on the heels of one of the most incompetent presidencies in history, Harris's history as a prosecutor and the very few things she was tasked with as Veep illustrates she’s not exactly an upgrade over Biden.

EXCLUSIVE: Sources Say Joe Biden Suffered Neurological Event Before Suddenly Leaving Las Vegas

In light of the Biden administration's poor record of truth-telling when it comes to POTUS' medical condition, many people questioned whether that COVID diagnosis was a convenient way to get Biden out of the spotlight for a few days, or if there was more to the story.

WATCH: Grassley Shares Incredible Bodycam Footage From Roof Where Shooter Perched at Trump Rally

That Cheatle has now resigned does nothing to obviate the issue. As many have observed — including Cheatle herself — this was a colossal failure. Hopefully, Grassley and the others seeking answers will receive them. And soon.

WHAT'S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill...

It looks to be another hot day on the Hill, and I don't mean weather-wise. FBI Director Christopher Wray is set to testify before the House Judiciary Committee both as to the recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump and the politicization of the agency. That one's sure to be popcorn-worthy. Other hearings/meetings set include:

  • House Education and the Workforce, Workforce Protections Subcommittee — "Safeguarding Workers and Employers from OSHA Overreach and Skewed Priorities"
  • House Homeland Security — "From Drug Interdictions in the Caribbean to National Security Patrols in the Arctic: Examining U.S. Coast Guard’s Role in Securing the Homeland"
  • House Small Business, Oversight, Investigations, and Regulations — “Executive Overreach: Examining the SBA’s Electioneering Efforts with Associate Administrator of Office of Field Operations, Jennifer Kim”
  • House Oversight and Accountability, National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs Subcommittee — “Wasteful Spending and Inefficiencies: Examining DoD Platform Performance and Costs”
  • Joint Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (U.S. Helsinki Commission) — Hearings to examine Russia's persecution of Ukrainian Christians.

White House What's Up

Most of the day will be quiet for President Joe Biden, aside from receiving his Daily Brief. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will host a briefing in the early afternoon — sure to be interesting/entertaining. And then this evening, Biden will address the nation from the Oval Office, presumably to elaborate on his decision not to seek reelection, though, with the way things have gone lately, one never knows...RedState will be liveblogging the event so be sure to join us for that!

MORNING MUSING

Democracy schmemocracy. We sure do hear a lot these days about "democracy." It's bandied about so much, it's pretty well lost its meaning. Here's some irony for you: The Republican Party (that great "threat to democracy") ran presidential primaries, and voters selected their preferred candidate, Donald Trump, who's now the party's nominee. The Democrat Party all but boxed out any serious challenger to the incumbent 81-year-old president, then, once it appeared he had no credible path to defeat Trump in November, threw him under the bus and selected his replacement. Funny that.

LIGHTER FARE
