The Harpies at 'The View' Blame Trump's Assassination Attempt on White Men's Access to Guns

The "ladies" of ABC's "The View" are really taking President Joe Biden's message on Sunday to heart in the wake of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. Biden urged Americans to “lower the temperature” and to remember "when we disagree, we are not enemies, we are neighbors, we are friends, co-workers, citizens and, most importantly, we are fellow Americans."

The panel was discussing the Trump attempted assassination and specifically the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks. Ana Navarro, the supposed "Republican" on the panel, had this stunning take on what really is the cause behind the assassination attempt.

WATCH:

I also need to say, I hope that at some point in this country we do have a conversation about what is happening. Because we can't just react when it is our side. What was this again?

It was a 20-year-old, lone wolf, white, whack job with easy access to a gun. And we have to have a conversation about that. Because it wasn't a drag queen, it wasn't an immigrant, it wasn't a pissed-off liberal woman, this is.. and this keeps happening. And we need to react, not as left or right, not as Republicans or Democrats, but as Americans. And we need to ask better.

"Ask better?" What does that mean? We should ask Navarro and her crew to "think better" or maybe engage the brain a bit more before opening their pie holes and spewing this nonsense. In the midst of Navarro's word salad, she picked out of the wilted lettuce that she thinks white men with access to guns are the real problem and the reason for the violence perpetrated against former President Trump, murder victim Corey Comperatore and the two others who were seriously injured. Well, white young men are also overly medicated with ADHD medications like Ritalin and anti-anxiety medications. Why not point out that as a contributing factor? Or how about all the "Trump is a threat to democracy" indoctrination that has been spewed by everyone from Biden to Democrat elected officials, which is increasing the anxiety in both young and old. This type of rhetoric has only served to make young men and women like Crooks more frightened, increasingly depressed, and with the urgency that they must dO sOMEtHinG!!!!!! Even if it means taking Trump out with a rifle. "The View" co-hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg have been the main contributors to this discourse that Trump is dangerous and needs to be eliminated. How about that conversation? Nah, Navarro only wants to point out that it wasn't any of her specialty groups that were responsible for this violence, It was white men. They're the problem. So much for not demonizing your fellow Americans and lowering the temperature. Apparently, Navarro didn't think that message was for her side. Whatever side that is, as she is often confused.

Even more gobsmackingly stupid was Joy Behar's follow-up to Navarro's hot take. Behar was appalled that Crooks was able to purchase 50 rounds of ammunition and wondered why this wasn't being reported. Had the brain trust producers done their research, they could have informed Behar that Ohio puts no legal restrictions on buying ammunition for those over 21 and is an open-carry state. But that would require actual thought, and it is apparent that not much thinking goes on at that television studio.

As my colleague Bonchie reported, MSNBC canceled Monday's installment of "Morning Joe" to continue to focus on reporting "Breaking News."

The real reason is that they feared Joe Scarborough and Mika Brezinski would slip up with more "Trump is an existential threat" and Trump/Hitler comparisons, so the top dogs took no chances. Somebody should have given the suits at ABC the same memo. These "The View" women refuse to give any thought to their discourse and have no takes other than the usual "Trump is evil," wHiTe SUpRemAcY, and "blame everything on racism" schtick. It would have been wise for the producers to head them off at the pass, especially on this weekend of all weekends.

It doesn't matter because a bullet couldn't stop Trump (thank God), and their stupid takes are not going to blunt his momentum. The harpies just did their part to encourage white men with or without guns, as well as the rest of us, to cast our vote for Trump in November.
