Chaos After Kamala's Detroit Rally Is Emblematic of What Her Presidency Would Do to America

It won't end this well for America if Harris makes it to the White House, that's for sure.

Those Whistleblower Claims About TSA Surveillance and Tulsi Gabbard Just Took an Even More Sinister Turn

Weird? Creepy? Yes. And I'd add sinister and unconstitutional to the mix.

NEW: The Tim Walz Stolen Valor Scandal Just Got Much Worse Following Bombshell Report

This scandal isn't going away, and from what I'm hearing, this is just the beginning of the revelations regarding Walz's career.

WHAT'S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill...

Summer recess continues apace. That's not keeping some lawmakers from bracing for a second Trump presidency by...introducing bills aimed at preventing a Muslim ban on immigration. (Priorities!)

White House What's Up

An eventful day for President Joe Biden Thursday (relative to the past few days): He'll have a phone call in the early afternoon with Hawaii Governor Josh Green to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the horrific Maui fires. Then he'll welcome the Texas Rangers to the White House to celebrate their 2023 World Series win. (Is it me? Or does this seem like a long time after the fact for such a celebration?) After that, Biden and First Lady Jill will head out to Wilmington, Delaware, where they'll greet campaign staff (Sorry, chumps!) before heading to Rehoboth Beach.

The Homestretch

Vice President Kamala Harris and running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will have another campaign event in Detroit, Michigan, on Thursday before heading to Phoenix, Arizona. A previously scheduled stop in Durham, North Carolina, has been postponed due to Hurricane Debby.

Senator JD Vance (R-OH), former President Donald Trump's running mate, has also postponed a planned visit to Raleigh, North Carolina, due to the storm.

Meanwhile, Trump is set to hold a 2:00 p.m. Eastern news conference at Mar-a-Lago.

Given that Thursday marks the two-year anniversary of the infamous raid, one suspects that topic might come up...

Full Court Press...

Things are starting to cook in Hunter Biden's tax case in California. Keep an eye out for additional RedState reporting on that one as it enters the pre-trial homestretch.

MORNING MUSING

I was planning to wax philosophical about Tim Walz's welcome to the party, but seeing that Babylon Bee tweet reminded me: For the first time in (does math) 18 years, I do not have a kiddo headed back to school. She done. Finished. No more pencils, no more books, no more teachers' dirty looks. (Not that she normally received those.) It's...strange.
