COVER-UP: Palestinian Chronicle, U.S. Press Go Into Overdrive After 'Journalist' Caught Holding Hostages

Now ask yourself, if Al Jamal was just an innocent bystander gunned down by ruthless Israeli forces, why would the Palestinian Chronicle try to cover up his connection to their organization?

UPDATED: WATCH: Kamala Harris Has an Inappropriate Reaction to the Israeli Hostage Rescue, Gets Heckled

Do we need to remind the White House that there are still Americans being held hostage, along with Israelis and others, by these savage killers?

Bill Maher Details the Two Critical Things That May Sink Biden in the Election

But then Maher lays out all the problems Joe has built for himself with the border and illegal immigration. "Just on a political level, I don't think they could have handled it worse," he said.

WHAT'S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill...

Monday marks another quiet day on Capitol Hill as members of the congressional delegation that traveled to France for D-Day commemoration activities return. The House is gearing up, however, for a key vote on potential contempt proceedings against Attorney General Merrick Garland for the failure to turn over the audio recordings of Special Counsel Robert Hur's interview with President Joe Biden. Then, too, there will likely be follow-up to the criminal referrals made by House Committees as to Hunter Biden and Jim Biden.

White House What's Up

Back from barnstorming Europe, President Biden will travel from Wilmington, Delaware, to the White House, where Monday evening, he'll be hosting a Juneteenth Concert on...checks calendar...June Tenth. (I'm sure that's a scheduling convenience thing, not a misread of the calendar. Mostly sure.)

Full Court Press...

Speaking of Wilmington, Hunter Biden and his legal team will be back in court Monday for what will likely be the final day of evidence and could even include closing arguments in his trial on federal gun charges. The big question of the day is whether Hunter will take the stand in his defense — we'll find out soon!

We'll also be keeping an eye out for more information on the news that broke late Friday regarding possible juror misconduct in former President Donald Trump's Manhattan trial. While at this point, it appears most likely the Facebook posts at issue were the work of a troll and not someone actually related to one of the jurors, the matter is still being looked into, and RedState will, of course, keep you posted on any further developments on that front.

MORNING MUSING

I'm still overjoyed at the amazing news from Saturday morning of the IDF's rescue of four Israeli hostages from Gaza. Unlike the tears from that awful Saturday in October, the ones shed this past Saturday were of joy. So thankful they were found and brought home. So hopeful the same can be done for the remaining 120.

LIGHTER FARE

Maybe it's because this was all in my childhood wheelhouse, but this tickled my funnybone...

...and brought out my inner nerd.
