Jasmine Crockett Tries to Justify Her Meltdown at MTG on CNN and Steps in It Even More

I'm writing about the continuing drama from the wild exchange in the House Oversight Committee on Thursday.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) criticized Texas Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett's eyelashes after Crockett attacked her for trying to raise a question about bias. Then Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) threw a hissy fit and got involved, insulting Greene, and Crockett tried to shoot back at Greene too, talking about a “bleach blonde, bad built, butch body.” It brought down the House when Comer replied, "A what now?"

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) said he apologized to the Jerry Springer Show for previously comparing it to the House. Then AOC went off on him, claiming the argument was somehow "racist and misogynistic" and that she was actually standing up for women. Now, there wasn't anything racist in the fight, but if there was any misogyny maybe it was when AOC referred to MTG as "baby girl" and Crockett attacked Greene for her body.

Then Crockett made a huge mistake trying to capitalize off the bad behavior by selling merchandise about what she said but then failing to even spell her own name right on the T-shirt she was pitching.

Both Fetterman and Crockett were on "State of the Union" with Jake Tapper on Sunday talking about the issue. I wrote earlier about Fetterman's comments where he called AOC's criticism "absurd," and he also took a bonus jab at Joe Biden's waffling on Israel and how that was emboldening Hamas.

Crockett continued on the same path as AOC, claiming on the show that Greene's comment about her eyelashes was racist.

This is just silly, so attacking her over her false eyelashes is racist now, too?

She admits herself that women in general wear lashes, she then attacks millions of MAGA supporters claiming somehow they are racist as well. Crockett alleged that MTG only did it to be racist -- so what's her explanation for attacking MTG's body? She just hates women? It's downright silly. She wants the book dropped on MTG but takes no responsibility for her own actions in the chaos. She steps in it even more by insulting MAGA people in general.

Crockett claimed she went after MTG in a "lawyerly way."

Yes, she's a lawyer, but frankly, if she thought that was a "lawyerly way" to respond, she's sadly mistaken.

She claimed she wasn't going to be "disrespected," and it was already a "hostile work environment." Really? Because it seems to me that most work environments demand results and if any Democrats were truly held to account here for their failures as if this was a real job, they would all be fired.

Crockett claimed that "MAGA" didn't respect rules and the law. In fact, the reverse is true, it's the Democrats who bend them to their whims. She doesn't even see or care about how she violated the rules of the House with her own remarks. She doesn't care about Joe Biden bragging about defying the Supreme Court, which he did again on Sunday during his Morehouse College speech. She doesn't care about him taunting former President Donald Trump over the lawfare.

Democrats throw all kinds of norms under the bus, but they think it's just cool when they do it. The very reason for the Oversight Committee hearing that the fight was over was typical -- they were considering advancing the contempt resolution for Attorney General Merrick Garland because he's refusing to comply with a subpoena to turn over the audio for the Hur interview. So, once again, Democrats are trying to blow off the rules and the law. And yes, Joe Biden is trying to evade there too, invoking executive privilege over the audio so Americans can't hear for themselves just how bad his condition is.

So, please, spare me your rant, Rep. Crockett. You're not the noble one here. You in fact are on the wrong side of history in this battle.
