The much hyped CNN interview between Dana Bash, Kamala Harris, and her emotional security VP pick Tim Walz was a massive disappointment. While Harris diehards and the corporate media tried to make it seem like this was a strong presentation by the Democrats, the people are saying differently.
According to Rasmussen Reports, after the CNN interview aired, Trump's lead increased over Harris by a good chunk.
As posted by Mark Mitchell, head pollster over at Rasmussen, after the interview, Donald Trump sped ahead of Harris by four points, an increase of one point from the previous day. Meanwhile, Harris actually dropped a point. Harris and Trump now sit at 45 to 49 points respectively. Again, this is an overnight change, suggesting that the CNN interview did no favors for Harris.

There is actually a pattern developing here.
Every time the Harris campaign exposes their candidate to the public, the public reacts negatively. It happened after the DNC as well.
You can also see the reduction in Harris's popularity in other places too. The betting website, Polymarket, also saw Trump pull away from Harris after the interview aired.

This is proof of what many people say about Harris's communication skills and lack of victories to her name. She says a lot while saying nothing at all, and when she doesn't have the ability to address an issue, she dodges the question or pivots to something else. Moreover, she has a massive problem in that she has been in a position of power for nearly four years and has cemented her ideological beliefs and modes of governance. So many of the problems America is facing today, such as the open border, horrible economy, etc., are her fault.
Moreover, she's promising to start fixing problems once she's elected, but she could start now. She says she'll start making changes on day one, but her day one was January 20, 2021.
These loom over her campaign like a shadow, and there's not really much she can do to answer for them. She has no real accomplishments to her name, and the one major thing she was put on, the border, is an inexcusable disaster that's resulted in a huge crime increase and many innocents dead. It makes her saying the people want a new way forward not exactly work in her favor.
This is why her team won't let her in front of working cameras without a script or a friendly interviewer who can toss her softball questions.
Which makes one sit and wonder just how she's going to survive a 90-minute debate against Trump, who is likely going to eat her alive, as she'll have none of the handicaps she needs in order to look competent. I can't imagine Harris' team is feeling good about any of this, and that they may be staring down the barrel of a Biden debate part deux.
I can tell you one thing for sure, no matter how bad it is, the media will be all-in at this point. There isn't going to be a last-second candidate swap out this time. Pushing Harris out would be far too costly, and the press will be working the machine overtime to make it seem like Harris is the greatest thing since Obama. They won't have a choice. The lies will flow freely, though it'll be difficult to convince someone to ignore their eyes and ears, especially when their bank accounts are a brutal exposure of the truth.
