We're supposed to be recognizing the Greatest Generation and the sacrifices they made on D-Day, those who gave their lives, and those who survived in that noble fight to defeat the Nazis.
But Democrats seem to be making it about themselves and their political agendas of the moment.
My colleague Bonchie wrote earlier about the vile comment from Hillary Clinton where she suggested that voting against Republicans was saving "democracy" as the brave Americans who fought on D-Day did.
Eighty years ago today, thousands of brave Americans fought to protect democracy on the shores of Normandy.

This November, all we have to do is vote.

No, first, they're not saving "democracy" by such a vote, and it's offensive to compare a vote to landing at Normandy and helping lead the way to defeat the Nazis. Is it any wonder she lost when she can't seem to understand how vile what she said is?
But she wasn't the only one. Joe Biden's Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, decided to get in on the "bad comments for D-Day" drama. Blinken was asked what should our allies and enemies take away from Biden's speech about D-Day?
Blinken responded, "The same resolve that the extraordinary men and women that we're celebrating today showed then, he [Biden] is showing now."

He then said that we "honor" what they did by standing up to the aggression from Russia against Ukraine.
Enough already. Showing up at a ceremony and not falling on your face isn't the same resolve. If he was talking about Biden supporting Ukraine, that's also not the same as landing on a beach under fire. This isn't about Biden; it's about the veterans and those who died, their bravery, and how that led to victory over the enemy. It isn't an excuse to try to pump up Biden or to pimp for support for Ukraine.
Why do they think this makes them sound good when they say things like this? If just makes them sound offensive. You can't compare sleepy, incoherent Biden to brave war heroes.
Biden has even in the past seemed to be confused about when D-Day was, including during his ridiculous tall tale about how his uncle may have been eaten by cannibals. It's really not the same.

Here's another moment where he doesn't even seem to know the date of D-Day.
Joe Biden's handlers flew him to France to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy on D-Day.

But does Joe Biden actually know why he is there.
Previously, Joe Biden forgot which day #DDay occurred:pic.twitter.com/9dE5Y29qol
Ronald Reagan got it right 40 years ago and didn't try to make it about him or his political agenda.
